Still have my old pair, too. The medium width of these shoes is just a slight bit wider than my other shoes of similar type (e.g. Sketchers), which I really appreciate.

These are very comfortable walking shoes. I recently purchased a 2nd pair to replace my old ones. I put a lot of miles on the old pair; most recently on a 10-day walking tour of two countries. They are sturdy enough to function as hiking shoes.

I am in love with the MONARCH model.I have been wearing them for 5 consecutive years.Good to find them on , as they are no longer sold in my country. They were replaced by these cheap looking plastic ones that are sold for excessive money and are not comfy. (damn you Nike Mexico)

Shoes have great support all around and the toe box is wide and comfortable. Stable while in play. Well made. I have four other pairs of tennis shoes which I can't wear to play tennis as the toe box is too narrow and tight, causing blisters and pain. The NikeAir Monarch fits my feet better than any other shoe I tried on. Wish they came in more bright colors.

Great shoes at a good price. I was amazed at how quickly they arrived,,,,,,,,,2 maybe 3 days. I needed a pair of shoes for walking and have owned black monarchs in the past...3 pair....these white shoes are not quite the same but are just as comfortable. I tried them on and I had very little trouble breaking them in. The shoes are very comfortable due to the "air" and the general great quality of the shoes. I went to the mall and I couldn't find them at at least 8 stores and I thought "what a bummer...my favorite shoes and they don't make them anymore" I looked on and there they were and at a very reasonable price.

Usually Nike shoes are very narrow even when we get the wide width. However, they were exactly what we needed in the 4E. These are beautiful shoes. The subtle design under the mesh is not distracting yet gives the aesthetic a little something extra. My son loves them, and they are very comfortable on his feet. I don't know how long they will last for my pre-teen with the mesh on them, but the shoe itself has a sturdy construction. I would (and may have to) purchase these again... I might need a pair for myself :D

No size guide supplied, just said go 2 sizes above your usual, so I did and the product was huge. Asian XXL fits like EU XXL, literally a parachute. Pre-purchase customer service 1* and order notes ignored.
Lots of loose strings, but can be fixed with some effort. The zip is the big issue here, it's really stiff and keeps getting stuck due to material getting in the way or stiffness, not smooth at all.
Expected a LOT more with all those positive reviews, quite disappointed even at this price point to be honest.
